AddEvent v2.1.2 | Embeddables, Mailchimp Integration, & API Updates

The newest AddEvent release unlocks more customization, a cleaner experience, and deeper integration options. Here’s what's new:

Public Pages & Embeddable Widgets

• Moved the design template selector to the embeddable calendar preview page.
• Added dark mode and auto mode to the embeddable events list.
• Improved Add to Calendar link redirects and fixed in-app browser issues (Facebook/Instagram).
• Improved automatic hyperlinking and fixed formatting issues (line breaks, long links, extra tags).
• Added recurring rule display for Outlook.com/Office 365.
• Fixed issues with RSVP submission, all-day events in templates, and blocked-page explanations.

Mailchimp Extension

• Users on the Hobby plan can now add Follow Calendar or RSVP links.
• Fixed an issue with the size of images for Add to Calendar links and RSVP links rendering in Mailchimp.
• Fixed an issue where events from deleted calendars were appearing when they should not have been.
• Made several other updates including an updated link label for subscription calendars, and updated the ID used to reference events to the public unique key.

API

• Improved custom_data field search performance.

• Fixed missing RSVP reminder and follow-up emails for attendees created via the API.
