Google Calendar Bug: Missing Event Locations for Calendar Subscribers
Google Calendar has reported a bug affecting events with a location. Due to this issue, location information may be removed from the event's location field on the calendars of users who subscibred via Google Calendar.
We're monitoring the issue and will provide an update here once Google has resolved it.
This is a Google Calendar issue, not an issue with how AddEvent stores event locations. The original event in AddEvent should retain its location information.
If you're experiencing this issue, you can "+1" the bug report in the top-right corner, linked here, to help Google understand how many users are affected.
Workaround
We've implemented a workaround for events in subscription calendars that have a Zoom link (zoom.us) in the location field. The Zoom link will automatically be added to the beginning of the event description so subscribers can still access it if Google Calendar removes it from the location field.
If the Zoom link already exists in the event description, it won't be added again.
This workaround applies to all events in subscription calendars, including existing and future events, and across all calendar services that subscribe to AddEvent calendars.
