Embeddable Calendar Customization in AddEvent 2.0
Overview
In AddEvent 1.0, users could customize their embeddable calendars in two ways:
- By creating custom HTML templates for full control over layout and styling.
- By using the no-code “Quick Customize” options directly beside the embeddable calendar preview to make basic visual adjustments.
What’s Changing in AddEvent 2.0
In AddEvent 2.0, custom HTML templates have been replaced with no-code design templates. As a result, the “Quick Customize” settings have been removed and replaced with a Design Template selector, allowing users to apply a saved custom design template to their embeddable calendars.
This change provides a more unified and flexible way to manage the look and feel of your events, calendars, and embeds — all from the Design Templates section of your account.
Migration
- Existing embeds that use the “Quick Customize” options will continue to work as they are.
- Plug-ins that rely on “Quick Customize” settings will also continue to function for both existing and new embeds.
No action is required for current setups unless you want to update the embed’s design to match your new AddEvent 2.0 Design Templates.
Summary
- “Quick Customize” has been replaced with Design Templates in AddEvent 2.0.
- Existing “Quick Customize” embeds still work.
- Future customizations should be done via the Design Template editor for greater flexibility and consistency.
