RSVP Buttons for RSVP Events

This help doc explains how to use RSVP buttons to share your event. An RSVP button is ideal for sharing an event in email newsletters, campaigns, or on your website or landing page. AddEvent’s RSVP button is compatible with most email marketing tools, website builders, and custom-built websites, making it easy to collect RSVP responses.

What Happens When Users Click an RSVP Button?

When users click an RSVP button, they are directed to the RSVP landing page, where they can provide the required information and select their attendance status: “Going”, “Interested”, or “Can’t go". After registering, an Add to Calendar button will display, allowing them to save the event directly to their personal calendar.

Did you know?

Response options “Going”, “Interested”, or “Can’t go" can be modified/removed by creating an event landing page design template and applying it to your RSVP event.

How to Copy the RSVP Button

To copy an RSVP event's RSVP button to start sharing your RSVP event, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the RSVP event's title from the Dashboard. You will be directed to the Event details page.

  2. Scroll down to the sharing methods below the landing page preview.

  3. Click the + icon to the right of the RSVP button section to expand options.

  4. Copy the RSVP button code by clicking the copy icon on the top-right hand corner of the section, or by copying the < > icon located on the bottom-right corner of the RSVP button section.

    1. The copy icon is best for when you're sending email invites, newsletters, and campaigns.
    2. The source code option is the most common embed option for webpages, and it works with the majority of HTML/code embed options.

Using an RSVP Button in Emails

To include an RSVP button in an email, paste the code you copied from the event details page directly into your email. When recipients click the RSVP button in the email, they will be directed to the RSVP landing page, where they can complete their registration.

Adding an RSVP Button to a Website

To add an RSVP button to your website, paste the copied code into the location on your website where you want the RSVP button to appear.

Using a website or landing page builder?

If you are using a website or landing page builder, you will most likely need to use the “Custom embed”, ”HTML embed”, or similar option to allow you to paste the code into that section of the website.

With these steps, your attendees will have an easy way to register for your event and add it to their calendars. For further details on customizing your RSVP event landing page, see our help doc here..
