Configure Data Capture

We collect geolocation data from end-users when they visit your event or calendar landing pages, embeddable widgets, or click Add to Calendar or Follow Calendar buttons/links. Enabling this option anonymizes the geolocation data collected from end-users.

Geolocation data is automatically anonymized for users in the EEA.

How to anonymize geolocation data

To anonymize the geolocation data, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your account at AddEvent.com.

2. Click the blue profile icon located at the bottom-left of the Dashboard.

3. Click the Account and settings option in the menu.

4. Select the Settings tab.

5. Scroll down to the Data capture configuration section and toggle on Anonymize IP address.

6. Click Save
