Customize Follow Calendar Buttons and Links for Calendars

This help doc explains how to customize the Follow Calendar buttons and links for calendars. AddEvent provides options to share Follow Calendar links in emails, newsletters, campaigns, or on your website. You can also add an Follow Calendar button to your calendar landing page or website. Each option includes simple customization features, allowing you to create attractive, branded links or buttons for your audience.

Create a Style for Your Follow Calendar Links

Follow Calendar links are perfect for adding to emails, newsletters, or your website. You can easily customize the look and feel of these links to match your brand.

  1. From the Dashboard, click the calendar's title from the Calendars list. You will be directed to the Calendar details page.

  2. Scroll down to the sharing methods under the calendar landing page preview.

  3. Click the + icon to expand the Follow Calendar links section.

  4. Click the Create style button to open the configuration settings.

  5. A pop-up window will appear where you can make the following changes to your Follow Calendar links:

  • Color: Choose from predefined colors or use the color palette to select a custom color.
  • Style: Select your preferred style: straight, slightly rounded, or fully rounded.
  • Text and Icon: Choose to display Icons + Text, Text only, or Icons only.
  • Size: Choose from several predefined button sizes to fit your design.
  1. Once you’ve customized the link/button style to your preferences, click the Save configuration button to save your custom Follow Calendar link style. Your newly saved style will then be listed as option "1" in the list.
  1. To add the links to your desired media, click the Copy option. If you need the raw HTML code, click the <> icon in the bottom right corner of the section to copy the source code from the pop-up window.

Create a Style for Your Follow Calendar Button

Follow Calendar buttons are best suited for websites or landing pages. You can create branded buttons with customizable color and design options.

  1. From the Dashboard, click the calendar's title from the Calendars list. You will be directed to the Calendar details page.

  2. Scroll down to the sharing methods under the calendar landing page preview.

  3. Click the + icon to expand the Follow Calendar buttonsection.

  4. Click the Create style button to open the configuration settings.

  5. A pop-up window will appear where you can make the following changes to your Follow Calendar button:

  • Color: Choose from a range of predefined colors or use the color palette for a custom choice.
  • Button Design: Select from various button styles to find the design that best matches your branding.
  1. When your button matches your desired look, click the Save configuration button.
  1. Once you’ve customized the button style to your preferences, click the Save configuration button to save your custom Follow Calendar link/button style. Your newly saved style will then be listed as option "1" in the list.
  1. To use the button on your website or external landing page, click the Copy icon located in the top-right corner of the section.

To view the HTML code snippet, click the <> icon, and copy the source code in the pop-up window that appears.
