Custom Templates in AddEvent 2.0
In AddEvent 2.0, custom HTML templates have been replaced with no-code design templates. This new system makes it easier to customize your event and calendar pages (no coding required) while still supporting advanced customization for users who need it.
What’s new in AddEvent 2.0 for Customization
AddEvent 2.0 introduces no-code design templates — a simpler, visual way to customize your AddEvent pages.
With the new design templates, you can easily:
- Change button colors and text
- Add images or logos
- Adjust layouts
- Translate your template into different languages
And for advanced users, the “Advanced” tab in the design template editor allows further customization using custom code or CSS.

Custom Templates Available?
Yes — your existing custom HTML templates still work and can be applied to both events and calendars in AddEvent 2.0. They’ll continue to display exactly as before.
Recreating the Custom Templates
Custom HTML templates will not be automatically converted into no-code design templates. The no-code editor is fast and intuitive. Most recreations take just a few minutes. Please recreate your 1.0 custom templates as design templates.
Need to edit an old HTML template?
Since AddEvent 1.0, custom templates can no longer be edited directly:
- Recreate the custom template using the no-code design editor, a Design Template.
