Plans and Pricing FAQs

What is a usage period?

A usage period is a monthly period that starts on the day when you create an account, and resets/ends on the same day each subsequent month. For example, if you create an account on the 10th of January, your first usage period runs from the 10th of January to the 9th of February, and the second usage period runs from the 10th of February to the 9th of March, and so on.

If you upgrade your account, the usage period resets to your new billing date. For instance, upgrading on January 20th means your usage period will now run from the 20th to the 19th of each month.

What is limited usage?

The Hobby plan has a limited usage license. A limited usage license means usage categories have a defined usage limit each month. If you exceed the limit, that feature becomes unavailable until the next month. The Hobby plan is ideal for testing AddEvent's tools. You can find detailed limits on the plan's details page.

How are usage limits enforced?

Usage limits and how they are enforced vary per plan tier.

The Hobby plan has hard limits, which means that account functionality is paused when a usage limit is reached. The user will be prompted to upgrade to a paid plan to continue using the functionality, otherwise, the usage limits will reset on the usage period.

Small Business plans have

Professional plans in-app limits will result in paused internal functionality. In-app limits apply to events created/month, calendars, users, and domains.

We don’t enforce end-user limits for pro accounts be default, but they can be enforced manually. End-user limits are event-adds/month, rsvp attendees/month, calendar subscribers.

The Enterprise plans have soft limits so if a limit is reached, your Account Manager is notified. Though, we will not disrupt functionality without multiple attempts at communicating with you.

Do you offer any discounts to non-profits?

We support non-profits with custom discounts. Please sign up for an account and get in touch with [email protected]. Please attach your 501c(3) status/form.

What is an event download?

An event download is when one of your users click the "Add to Calendar" button and the event is added to their calendar. Event-adds are monitored in two of our tools: The "Add to Calendar" button and "Events".

What is a subscriber?

When a user subscribes to one of your calendars using the "Subscription Calendar" tool, a connection is created between AddEvent and the calendar system. That connection enables the calendar systems to request new updates from your calendar and that is considered to be a subscriber in our system.

Can an account be shared?

Yes! You can add other individuals from your organization as users on your account so that you can collaborate on creating, managing, and sharing your events and calendars. You can invite new users and manage permissions for existing users from the Users page once you log in to the AddEvent app.

You can see the number of Account Users available on each plan on the Plans and Pricing page or, if you already have an account, on your Usage page. Need more Account Users than the Professional plan? Please reach out to our sales team to discuss an Enterprise plan with a custom number of Account Users.

Do you offer a free plan?

Yes, we offer a free Hobby plan for personal, non-commercial use with limited usage.
